SeeSaw Summer Fair

An unique annual shopping event in support of SeeSaw

About the SeeSaw Summer Fair

Since the first SeeSaw Summer Fair in 2004 over £25,000 has been raised for SeeSaw’s work. We now feel that it is time for a change, and to hand over the reins to others. As a result, this will be the 6th and last of the Summer Fairs in this format; we do hope you will join us to celebrate our successes and help to contribute to the work of the dedicated team at SeeSaw.

Ali Eyston has kindly agreed to take over from me as a Chair of the Committee, and she and the Committee will be announcing their fundraising plans for 2010 early next year. Do come back to the website to keep up to date.

On behalf of the committee I would like to extend our thanks to all of you for your support over the years, which has made such a vital difference to the lives of many young children in Oxfordshire.

Mary Thompson
Chairman, SeeSaw Summer Fair Committee

During the fair, we will be running a Silent Auction of Promises - visit the Events page for details - a big thank you to all our contributors!

About SeeSaw:

The Charity was started in 1999 to provide grief suport for children (up to the age of 18); most children experience a period of emotional turmoil after bereavement and for about one third of children these difficulties are severe. Supporting a bereaved child can seem like a daunting challenge and adults are often overwhelmed by their own feelings of grief.

Through practical support and understanding, SeeSaw strives to reduce the distress of bereaved children and enable families to work together through the difficult times that follow the death of a loved one.

In 2005, the Charity won the Guardian Charity Award. Do visit the main Charity website for more information, or call them directly and speak to one of the SeeSaw team.
